Yoga Classes
Our Classes

At SouLand, all classes take place in our beautifully handcrafted 24ft Yurt. It’s an enchanting, airy space that is both warm in winter thanks to the wood-burning stove, and cool and breezy in the summer.
We offer a variety of styles from Gentle Flows, Kundalini, Hatha, Yin, Calming Meditations and more – a little something for every day, every mood, and every phase of the moon.
As the seasons shift, we want to let you know, our weekday yoga classes will now pause until spring 2025.
Thats said, as we move into the quieter months, keep an eye out for our Winter Fireside Sessions, where we will gather in the warmth and spirit to nurture our inner light. Head to our ‘Events’ page to see whats on!

Kundalini
Kundalini yoga is unique in that you tune into your own energy with mantra and that’s what you use throughout your practice. The breath, mantra, mudra (hand gestures) and asanas (postures) are all used as tools to raise your consciousness.
Mala holds a safe space in the class to allow you to release what no longer serves you and to become the best version of yourself.

Hatha
Hatha Yoga is a path toward creating balance uniting opposites. Its emphasis is on developing a healthy body to support the practice of meditation whilst building flexibility and strength through simple, gentle movement and repetition. This well-rounded style balances and opens the body.
We incorporate breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation to promote inner calm and focus, where you will learn to still the mind and be present in the moment.
These classes are suitable for all levels, providing a gentle introduction to yoga or an opportunity for experienced practitioners to deepen their practice.

Yin Yoga
Yin is a Journey within, into a space of mindfulness, allowing, and presence. This class invites you to restore on a deep level, cultivating a deeper sense of surrender and ease, while connecting with the more internal ‘Yin’ aspects of your experience using slow, gentle long-held (3-5 minutes) deep postures.
By holding these postures for a long time, we target the subtle energy and connective tissue to release physical, energetic and emotional blockages, increasing flexibility and mobility in the body
