Studio Etiquette

Yoga Etiquette

We invite you to arrive around 10 minutes before your class starts, to discuss any concerns you may have and to allow you time to arrive in the space.

We feel it is important to stay for Savasana at the end of your yoga practice, where the body absorbs the benefits of the asana postures and you can relax, breathe, and share the energy created in class by yourself and your Sangha.

Emotional and Physical Releases

Practising yoga is a way to connect back to our body as well as relaxing and unwinding the mind. Sometimes when we release our physical tensions, emotions can bubble up and make themselves present. This is perfectly normal and a great sign that the yoga is working! Try not to judge the emotional release and let it be.

Golden Yogi Rule

Just remember, you know your body better than anyone else! Tune in to your needs, hold back when your body says so. Be gentle on yourself. You are your own best teacher.

Equipment

We provide comfy natural eco yoga mats, cork blocks, belts, blankets, and bolsters.

Following government guidelines, we currently advise you to bring your own mat if you have one or a towel to cover the mat.  Please bring your own blanket for savasana if you wish to use one, and we recommend that your drinking water be in a glass or copper bottle

Clothing

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely and with ease. We want you to feel the connection of your bare feet on the earth, so you can leave your shoes at the door.
